Greetings and welcome to our May issue!

I am so very excited to announce with this issue of Strictly Business Magazine it will be the beginning of a new phase in our efforts to help you, our readers, become better and more skilled in the marketing and selling of your services…to become an EXPERT.  We come across all types of businesses from one owner sole proprietors to multinational companies and the one topic that always seems to come up is “How can I more effectively market (sell) my products and services?”  So beginning with the June issue expect this space to be full of, what I feel, are some of the best and most powerful marketing and sales ideas I have come across in the 25+ years I’ve been in the business.

The ideas I will examine will not necessarily be mine, but they will be proven and easy to implement with just a bit of effort on your part.   Your input is most welcome and appreciated, so feel free to talk and blog about these topics as everything we publish in print is also online at www.strictlybusinessomaha.com.

One of the original monthly editorial features that appeared in Strictly Business Magazine back in 1993 was Guerrilla Marketing, by Jay Conrad Levinson.  His expertise and insight was ground-breaking back then, but it’s just as powerful today.  Back in the day, Jay was a creative with Leo Burnett and helped to take the Marlboro brand from a ladies cigarette that was 31st in the market into the number one worldwide brand that it is today.  In 1983 he introduced the 16 Monumental Secrets of Guerrilla Marketing, and these important secrets will be the first concepts we will discuss in detail.

I look forward to presenting these ideas to you, our readers, and specifically to those of you who are looking to sharpen your skills and expertise in the areas of sales and marketing.
