Meet John Paul Militti, the President at Snappy Print (snappyprint.shop).

Tell us a little about your business (in your own words). – Snappy Print is a one stop shop commercial printer for all of your marketing requirements. With over 25 years of experience we can help marketers and designers by first understanding a projects goals and then helping to meet those requirements. Paper, mailing requirements, sign and apparel material options all serve different functions so will help to decide what works best for your project and how to ensure it looks great as well.

How did you get started in the business? – I love the visual arts. Going into graphic design professionally after receiving my bachelors in Graphic Design from the University of Wyoming in 2009 was a natural next step. I completed my MBA from UNO while working at our family business, Militti Sales. We worked with Snappy on our marketing projects. In 2024, we purchased Snappy. Since then we have launched a new website, opened up a second location, and upgrade equipment to improve our offerings to our customers.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Living and traveling overseas. I studied Mandarin in college and after I graduated I moved to China for around a half a year to set up an office there. Trying to improve my language skills, navigating a foreign country and doing it all with the goal of helping to make our family business successful was challenging. It was difficult but I loved it.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – I cannot pin down one thing. I’ve worked on and lead teams of people for projects in marketing, IT, logistics, and purchasing here and overseas.

Tell us a little about your family. – My wife is a strong, intelligent woman who is the mother of our two small children. We cherish and adore them. I have two loving parents and 4 siblings who have all worked together and remained close into adulthood.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Getting married and having children. Nothing is the same again after you have people who are wholly dependent on you.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Spend time outside or paint.

Who inspires you? – Tough one. Most of the people around me inspire me in one way or another. My father has given me the inspiration to do a lot of things I would not have had the confidence to do on my own.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – Daft Punk Is Playing At My House – LCD Soundsystem

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – I am not involved with them but Community Alliance seems special to me. Their stated goal of helping those who are struggling to get back on their feet is admirable to me.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Idealism.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – JFK
