Tell us a little about your business (in your own words). – We are a private practice radiology group with over 40 physicians, we cover over 40 hospitals and outpatient clinics in eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa. We recently expanded our outpatient IR services at the MIC Imaging and Procedure Center, including angiography with angioplasty and stenting; varicose vein interventions; vascular access; image guided biopsies; uterine fibroid embolization; and prostate artery embolization for BPH, in addition to many more minimally invasive image guided procedures.

Who inspires you? – Chris Ingraham, MD, Karim Valji, MD, Chad Eicher, MD, Jeff Johnson, MD

How did you get started in the business? – I have been a physician for 4.5 years and did much of my training in Omaha at Creighton University. I completed an adult vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at the University of Washington and a pediatric interventional radiology fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital. I am currently the only fellowship trained pediatric interventional radiologist in the state of Nebraska and I am proud to be a part of expanding outpatient IR services in Omaha at our new outpatient center, MIC Imaging and Procedure Center at 119th and Center.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – I tore my medial meniscus halfway through my senior year of football in high school and after going through all the imaging and procedures to fix my knee, I decided medicine was the route I wanted to take in life.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I have traveled to over 20 countries and have volunteered in over 10 medical mission trips spanning from Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, and Mexico. I have been extremely lucky to start and lead multiple nonprofit organizations throughout the years including Operation Robinhood which donated over 5,500 toiletries to local woman’s shelters and Share your Sole which donated close to 10,000 shoes to the Cheyenne River Reservation.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – I have two favorite quotes:
