Blair Zobel is the Director of Marketing at ProsperSpark (prosperspark.com)
Tell us a little about your business. – ProsperSpark helps companies save time and money by eliminating time-wasting tasks and messy manual processes. We build custom tools and automations using platforms like Excel, Airtable, Salesforce, and the cloud to streamline operations and improve accuracy. Whether it’s cleaning up data, routing approvals, or connecting systems that don’t talk to each other, we help teams work more efficiently so they can focus on what actually moves the business forward. If there’s a better, faster way to get it done, we’ll find it.
How did you get started in the business? – With a degree in art history and a professional background in merchandising, I’ve always been drawn to the connection between aesthetics, strategy, and storytelling. Marketing was just a natural next step. I watched ProsperSpark grow from the ground up, my husband built it with full commitment and a clear vision. About a year and a half ago, the timing was right, and I joined the team to lead marketing. It’s been an incredible fit and a meaningful way to bring my creative lens into a fast-moving, purpose-driven business.
Tell us a little about your family. – Two spirited boys, one very vocal dog, and a packed sports schedule keep our days moving fast. Life’s loud, fun, and just the right kind of chaos. ProsperSpark is a family business, so dinner comes with a side of work updates, but we always make time for adventure.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – One of the biggest turning points in my life was joining ProsperSpark full-time. My husband had already built something solid, and stepping in meant we were all in as a couple, as parents, as a family. We placed our bet on each other, and it’s paying off in purpose, flexibility and shared success.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Comparison is the thief of joy.” In today’s world, it’s so easy to measure your life against curated versions of everyone else’s, but he truth is, you rarely see what’s really going on behind the scenes. We’re all doing life the best we can. Do what makes you happy and let that be enough.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – My ideal day off includes time outside with my family, space to read a book or do some yoga, maybe even sneak in a nap, and end the day with a great dinner and wine shared with good friends. Simple things that leave you feeling full in all the right ways.
If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “Try Everything” by Shakira. Yes, it’s from Zootopia, but it perfectly captures how I try to live: embracing new things, learning from failure, and always getting back up. You only get one life, so fill it with as many experiences as you can. That’s the goal.
If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Nancy Wake. She was a nurse, journalist, and fierce member of the French Resistance during World War II, later working in intelligence. Her courage, grit, and sharp wit made her one of the most decorated women of the war. I’d love to hear her stories firsthand.
