SEAchange (SEAchangeLTD.com), a business consulting and philanthropic advising firm, announced in April it has become a Certified B Corporation, making it the sixth organization in Nebraska to earn this certification. The certification process, administered by the nonprofit organization, B Lab, signals SEAchange has met the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. SEAchange is also a registered Benefit Corporation through the State of Nebraska and a member of “1% for the Planet” having committed to contributing 1% of its annual revenue to environmental causes.

“We are excited to join this international community of leaders using business as a force for good,” said Kyle Cartwright, SEAchange cofounder and COO. “We feel fortunate to live and work in a community with so many other purpose-driven businesses. We are just one of many.”

“It is time for Nebraska to be recognized for what it is, the Purpose- Driven Capitol of America,” added Graham Pansing Brooks, SEAchange co-founder and CEO. “Highlighting Nebraska’s impactful businesses is critical for workforce development and creating a stronger, more vibrant future economy.”

SEAchange consulted two other Nebraska businesses through the B Corp Certification process, KidGlov and Econic. SEAchange will undergo a re-certification process every three years and produce an annual report to maintain its B Corp status.
