VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha is pleased to announce that Shea Brandt is now a Licensed Veterinary Technician with the practice. Shea passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) which is administered by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards. Upon passing the exam, Shea was licensed by the state of Nebraska as a Veterinary Technician. Shea graduated from Vatterott College with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology.

To be a Veterinary Technician in Nebraska you must be licensed, which starts with attending a two or four year accredited Veterinary Technology program and successfully graduating. The final step is the National Board exam, and after passing the license must be renewed every two years upon completing 16 hours of continuing competency activities.
