Born and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Damita is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and Grambling State University, where she earned a B.A. in Communications and Public Relations with a minor in Finance. A certified diversity and inclusion professional, Damita brings decades of leadership experience across corporate, nonprofit, and community sectors, including work with Conagra Foods, Evergreen Capital Management, the Empowerment Network, Security America Advisors, and BCT Partners, where she served as Senior Director of DEI.
She is also the co-founder of Redefine the Game Institute, an Omaha based leadership platform dedicated to helping emerging and mid career leaders strengthen their impact and readiness for leadership. Her work and leadership have been nationally recognized, including features in Profiles in Diversity Journal and the CEO Award of Excellence at Conagra Foods.
