Child Saving Institute Announces New President and CEO, Chief Development Officer

Child Saving Institute (CSI, www.childsaving.org) has announced Jaymes Sime as its next president and CEO. Sime will replace retiring president/CEO, Peg Harriot, who has served Child Saving Institute for over 13 years. He will assume his new role on October 4.

Jaymes Sime

Sime has served as the executive director of the MICAH House in Council Bluffs for nearly six years. During his time as the organization’s leader, Sime has doubled its staff, grown its annual operating budget over 200%, completed a $3.7 million capital campaign, and successfully launched several other key growth strategies.

In addition, Sime spent three years serving children and families as the community outreach coordinator and in-home family services consultant at Boys Town. Sime holds a master’s degree in public administration from South University and was awarded the Omaha Jaycees Ten Outstanding Young Omahans in 2017.

Lori Bechtold

CSI has also recently welcomed its new Chief Development Officer, Lori Bechtold. Bechtold is an experienced fundraiser, most recently serving as the chief development officer at the Omaha Home for Boys for the last six years. She also has experience fundraising for health care organizations including One World and Charles Drew. Bechtold has earned a master’s degree in public administration and a certificate in fundraising management from the Lilly Family School of Fundraising – Indiana University.
