Paola Lopez and Joe Safford of CountryHouse Honored as Agemark Heroes

Agemark Senior Living (agemark.com) recently recognized CountryHouse employees Paola Lopez and Joe Safford as Agemark “Heroes” during a company-wide virtual awards ceremony on February 10. Hero winners are showered with gifts including a $1,000 cash bonus, an extra paid day-off, and a customized prize package valued at $1,000.

Paola Lopez is a housekeeper at CountryHouse in Omaha, but Executive Director Erinn Drouin says that Lopez’s efforts go well beyond her job title.

“Paola has an irrefutable pride in her work, and she is sweet and engaging of our residents as she navigates her day,” shared Erinn. “Because she is all over the building, she is a comforting routine to our folks – they know her and trust her. She has earned that trust by being kind and supportive. She will help residents back to their rooms when they have lost their way or takes time to sit with them when they’d like company.”

Joe Safford serves as dining director at CountryHouse in Elkhorn. Beth Gonnerman, executive director of CountryHouse in Elkhorn, says that Safford’s honor is well-deserved.
“Joe is simply amazing,” said Beth. “He is so skilled at creating and presenting delicious meals that fill not only bellies, but hearts! He also goes above and beyond his job description. He takes the time to visit and joke with residents and is always there with a hug or a smile to brighten their days.”
