Outlook Enrichment Encourages Local Donations to Assist People with Vision Loss

Outlook Enrichment (outlooken.org), an organization providing resources and support to those with vision loss so they can remain independent, encourages everyone to support local organizations as much as possible. Omaha metro area nonprofits do great work for our community. Donating to charities helps people in need and can be very rewarding. Millions of people routinely donate to charities to support causes they believe in and to positively impact their own lives.

Generous supporters help Outlook Enrichment assist people in our community with vision loss through adaptive-technology training and culture, recreation, and peer-support programs. New programs since 2020 also include independent living classes and virtual education sessions.

With Outlook Enrichment’s help, Omaha native Julia Lockette regained independence after vision loss and her husband’s death. No longer able to see her computer screen, Julia prepared for an early retirement from her career in finance. Now, because of the donor-funded Outlook Enrichment programs, Julia remains employed and will retire on her own terms.

“Learning how to use software like screen magnifiers helped me realize I could still work and live my life, even with very little vision,” said Julia. “From the support group to helping me with daily tasks, I know Outlook Enrichment will be there for me no matter what I face. And your gifts make the work they do possible.”

Local donations stay in the community. Supporting our nonprofits ensures people like Julia get the services and support they need. Anyone can easily make a donation to Outlook Enrichment at outlooken.org.
