YES Partners with Pickleman’s Gourmet Café to Raise Money for Homeless Youth

For the second year, Youth Emergency Services (YES; www.yesomaha.org) is proud to partner with Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe to raise money for homeless and near-homeless youth in our community during the month of November. The promotion is in recognition of November being National Homeless Youth Awareness Month as well as National Runaway Prevention Month – populations served by YES.

Beginning November 1 through the end of the month, patrons can donate $1 with each transaction in-store and online. With each $1 donation, patrons will receive a coupon they can use for a free cookie with their next order.

Despite the pandemic, this month-long event raised more than $4,300 for YES in 2020, and everyone involved is expecting even greater results this year with most COVID restrictions lifted and people out and about more.

Pickleman’s Gourmet Café has six locations in the Omaha Metro – five in Omaha and one in Elkhorn. Learn more about Pickleman’s and place online orders at www.picklemans.com.

Youth Emergency Services is the only nonprofit in Omaha with the sole mission to help youth experiencing homelessness and near-homelessness in our community. Many of these youth have been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused, making it unsafe for them to return home. YES offers a full continuum of care to ensure all youth receive the support they need, no matter their situation.
