Vision Maker Media (VMM) (visionmakermedia.org), a premier source of media by and about Native Americans since 1976, has announced its 10th biennial Vision Maker Film Festival, themed “Everything Is Connected.”
The festival will take place throughout 2026 as an acknowledgment and celebration of VMM’s 50th anniversary. The festival’s theme reflects the harmony, balance, and interconnectedness of life. It will feature a powerful lineup of American Indian and Alaska Native films, offering Indigenous stories, cultures, and perspectives through both in-person screenings and free streaming.
In-person screenings, followed by moderated panel discussions, will be held on the second Monday of each month at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center, 313 N. 13th St., Lincoln. The first screening, Firelighters: Fire is Medicine, will take place on Jan.12.
