On Monday, October 27, United Way of the Midlands (UWM)(UnitedWayMidlands.org) held its 2025 Annual Meeting at the CHI Health Center, with nearly 700 individuals representing local businesses and nonprofit agencies in attendance.

The event highlighted the impact of collective efforts across the community and recognized partners who went above and beyond in supporting United Way and the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro.

Ten area organizations were recognized for their generous support during the 2024-25 campaign. Awards included Volunteer Organizations of the Year: Fiserv and Goosmann Law; New Business Partner of the Year: Google Fiber; Corporate Partner of the Year – Leadership Donors: Scoular; Community Impact Partner of the Year: Creighton University; and Corporate Partner of the Year awards in three categories to Frontier Bank, Deloitte, Chesterman Company, Koley Jessen and Lincoln Financial.

Additionally, Jack and Stephanie Koraleski were recognized as UWM’s 2025 Citizens of the Year for their longtime support of United Way and their commitment to making a difference across the metro.

“Our Annual Meeting is a celebration of the many donors, volunteers, organizations and individuals who generously support United Way and our community – building more paths to opportunity and creating a stronger, more resilient metro,” said Shawna Forsberg, president and CEO of the United Way of the Midlands. “The day is about celebrating collaboration, as we know more progress happens when we work together.”
