Operated as a volunteer driven organization, the Omaha Police Officers Association Foundation (opoaf.org) works in close partnership with Omaha police officers, schools and neighborhood organizations to deliver measurable, mission focused programming.
OPOAF’s initiatives are designed to meet immediate needs while fostering long term community trust. Signature programs such as Christmas Shop with a Cop and Back to School Shop with a Cop provide children with essential clothing and school supplies while creating meaningful, positive interactions with local officers. Community engagement efforts including Cones with Cops, Popsicles in the Park, Cops and Bobbers and Operation Nets connect youth and officers through shared activities in relaxed settings. These programs consistently draw strong attendance and demonstrate the power of proactive community investment.
In response to ongoing economic pressures, OPOAF has also expanded support for essential needs initiatives such as Beds for Kids, which provides mattresses to children experiencing housing instability. Corporate sponsorships and business partnerships play a critical role in sustaining and expanding these programs, allowing OPOAF to scale its impact.
