Omaha Home for Boys Acknowledges Organizations for 2015 Grants

The Omaha Home for Boys (www.omahahomeforboys.org) gratefully acknowledges the following foundations and organizations for their support in 2015 with grant awards:

• $15,000 from Mutual of Omaha to reduce youth homelessness in the Jacobs’ Place program.
• $4,000 from the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Foundation for the Cooper Farm and Valley View 4-H Club.
• $500 from the Governor’s Ag Excellence Award in recognition of the Valley View 4-H Club.
• $1,500 from the Kinder Morgan Foundation to improve literacy in the education program.
• $1,900 from OPPD to plant trees in the orchard.
• $250 from the Shopko Foundation for literacy in the education program.
• $5,000 from Cox Community Impact for wellness programming in the Residential Youth program.
• $750 from Friends of Extension & 4-H Douglas/Sarpy County Foundation for Valley View 4-H Club.
• $60,000 from United Way of the Midlands for youth in the Jacobs’ Place and Branching Out programs
• $4,000 from the Dollar General Youth Literacy Grant for the education program.
• $5,000 from the Midlands Community Foundation for youth in the Jacobs’ Place and Branching Out programs from Sarpy and Cass counties.
• $2,500 from the MAXIMUS Foundation to fund a Road Ready Program for driver’s education for the Jacobs’ Place and Branching Out programs.
• $1,500 from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska for Life Skills programming from National Safety Council Nebraska for youth in the Residential program.
• $2,000 from RBC Foundation –USA for youth in the Jacobs’ Place and Branching Out programs.
• $5,000 from an anonymous foundation for youth in the Branching Out program.
• $10,000 from Pacific Life Foundation for general support of the Jacobs’ Place and Branching Out programs.
• $10,000 from the Ash Grove Charitable Foundation to restore the basketball court floor in the Recreation building.
