On behalf of the Midlands African Chamber (midlandsafricanchamber.com), thank you for contributing to the tremendous success of the fifth anniversary of the Pitch Black Conference and the Midlands African Chamber. With over 250 attendees, 34 exhibitors, and 24 expert panelists across sessions on access to capital, transforming ideas into businesses, leading with purpose in B Corporations, and building distinctive global brands, your energy and engagement brought the event to life. This year alone, Pitch Black awarded $90,716 in combined cash funding and in-kind technical assistance, a powerful reflection of our continued commitment to empowering diverse founders and fueling sustainable business growth across our region. Over the past five years, we’ve directly invested $1.14 million into the local business ecosystem, impacting 418 businesses. Including this year, our Pitch Black winners have generated $4.9 million in revenue and created 103 new jobs. And most importantly, the MAC Tribe’s collective efforts have generated $5.23 million in ecosystem value — delivering a $4 to $5 return for every dollar invested.
Entrepreneurship Is Personal.
We were also honored to be joined by Mayor John Ewing Jr. of Omaha and Deputy Secretary of State Cindy Allen, whose presence underscored the importance of civic and institutional partnership in advancing equity and entrepreneurship. Mayor Ewing further honored us by proclaiming June 27th Pitch Black Day in Omaha.
