Vision Maker Media (visionmakermedia.org) and The Ross Media Arts Center Native American Film Series 2025 are screening Crying Earth Rise Up. The film follows a mother studying geology as she seeks the source of the water contamination in her Lakota community that may have caused her daughter’s health problems. The story comes from a belief that Mother Earth needs to be cared for through good stewardship of the land and its natural resources. Following the film will be a panel with Daniel Snow and Dr. Arindam Malakar from the Nebraska Water Center.
