Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy (HETRA, HETRA.org) is looking to grow its team of volunteers. Currently serving over 150 participants per week, volunteers are the heart of HETRA. With over 200 volunteer shifts available each week, they could not accomplish their mission to improve the quality of life, both physically and emotionally for adults and children of all ability levels through equine-assisted activities without them. Every hour donated makes a difference in the lives of participants.

Whether you have years of horse experience or none, the dedicated HETRA staff will teach you everything you need to know to serve their beloved participants effectively. While they do not require any previous experience, volunteers must be at least 12 years of age or older and able to work independently with minimal staff supervision. They are looking for additional barn maintenance assistants, session volunteers, and greeters. Daytime, evening, and weekend shifts are available!
