Gretna Community Foundation to Present Check to the City of Gretna for Aquatics Center

The Gretna Community Foundation (www.gretnacommunityfoundation.org) Board of Directors is proud to announce that they will be presenting a $24,000 check to the City of Gretna to help fund a new aquatics center. The check was presented to Mayor Mike Evans at the Gretna City Council meeting on September 21 at Gretna City Hall.

The City of Gretna Swimming Pool and Aquatics Center Fund is a designated fund that was established at Gretna Community Foundation, an affiliated fund of Midlands Community Foundation, to support the construction of a new swimming pool and aquatics center in Gretna. Former Gretna Mayor Sally Maguire was instrumental in setting up the fund in 2011 and will attend the check presentation.
