Shift gears and join Outlook Enrichment’s (outlooken.org/oe) Tandem Bike Club—open to cyclists who are blind or have low vision, as well as sighted cycling enthusiasts. Teen cyclists are welcome to join the rides with a parent or guardian. The inaugural ride is June 13 from 9-11 a.m. on the Keystone Trail, starting at Outlook Enrichment (4125 S 72nd St.).

The 10-mile, go-at-your-own-pace ride is open to seasoned cyclists and first-timers alike. Outlook Enrichment will provide bikes and helmets at no additional cost. Sighted volunteer bike captains will be on-site. Riders are also welcome to bring their own equipment in addition to a biking partner. There is a $10 fee for riders. Outlook Enrichment is seeking sighted volunteer bike captains, who will ride for free.

Standard tandem bikes (two seat design familiar to cyclist) and recumbent tandem bikes (a three-wheeled, chair-style bike with two seats, ideal for new riders or those with mobility difficulties) are available.

More information and registration for the Keystone Trail ride are available at: outlooken.org/event/tandem-bike-club-season-opener.

Other dates for rides include July 25, August 16, Sept. 12 and Oct. 24.
