Cross Electronic Recycling to Host “Friends of the Environment Learn and Mingle”

The Cross Electronic Recycling (www.crossrecycling.com) will host Friends of the Environment Learn and Mingle on Thursday, February 7. The electronics drop-off center will be open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and the event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Cross Electronic Recycling is located at 5030 N. 72nd St.

This event will allow attendees to visit with vendors, exhibitors, and other “Friends of the Environment.” Meet the experts and learn how to reduce, reuse, and recycle more. Tour the recycling and refurbishing facility, and see what happens with your unwanted items. Enjoy green snacks and beverages! Bring your unwanted used electronics with you to the event and receive a gift in kind receipt as we are non-profit organization.

Cross Electronic Recycling accepts anything with a cord, battery or motor. Residential, commercial, and industrial items for recycling and refurbishing are welcomed. This includes items such as computers, laptops, large appliances, stereos and audio equipment, personal accessories, lawn mowers, electronic game systems, televisions, microwaves, and so much more. All electronic collections are used for vocational training and work experience at Cross Training Center. Their mission is to empower and equip unemployed, under-educated, and those who have had challenging backgrounds such as homelessness and incarceration through character development and job experience.
