Mosaic Names Nic Batterton as Executive Director for Mosaic in Southeast Nebraska

Mosaic (, a national nonprofit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), has named Nic Batterton as executive director for Mosaic in Southeast Nebraska in addition to his role as executive director of Mosaic in Omaha. The Omaha and Southeast Nebraska agencies – the latter based in Lincoln – will remain separate, autonomous agencies directly managed by Associate Director Tyler Anderson in Omaha and Associate Director Malindi Gabelhouse for Southeast Nebraska.

Batterton’s increased responsibilities will include regional strategic planning for both areas to serve more people, building a sustainable fundraising presence in Lincoln and connecting Mosaic to the community for support and greater awareness of its mission to “relentlessly pursue opportunities that empower people.”

“Nic has been with Mosaic for four years and has proven to be a thought-leader within our organization,” said Jen Zajicek, Mosaic’s interim vice president of operations for Nebraska. “His appointment positions us to continue being in front of the constantly evolving needs in whole-person healthcare while meeting strategic goals for both agencies.”

Mosaic in Omaha is part of Mosaic, which is a whole-person healthcare organization reaching across 13 states in more than 750 communities and providing supports to more than 5,200 people.
