The donation of Instant Impact items, or in-kind donations, slows down during the summer, and as a result MICAH House (themicahhouse.org) is experiencing a shortage of pantry non-perishables and meat, in addition to other essential items. They rely on the generosity of the local community for these items to allow them to continue to serve their clients.

Just like a home, MICAH House clients need all the basic items to live comfortably during this challenging time of their lives. Food, shelter, clothing, and personal care items are essential. Once a client has a needed item, it becomes their property and continues on with them to their new home. This includes clothing, towels, washcloths, toiletries, hair brushes, blankets, and much more.

If you or your business would like to support MICAH House by hosting an in-kind drive, they encourage you to reach out to them today. Drive ideas include pantry items, toilet paper, diapers, or hygiene items. You can also donate items by dropping them off Monday through Friday, 1 – 5 p.m. at the garage door on the east side of their building at 1415 Avenue J in Council Bluffs.

If you have any questions or would like to host a drive please contact Marketing and Community Development Specialist Jenny Andersen at jandersen@themicahhouse.org / (712) 323-4416 Ext. 2101. To learn more about MICAH House, visit themicahhouse.org.
