Jennie Edmundson Foundation’s (www.jehfoundation.org) 2022 Spirit of Courage Celebrity Weekend is set for August 5-6. Each year, Jennie Edmundson Foundation celebrates and honors four individuals who attend the event and share their stories of courage during their battles with cancer. The four amazing individuals being recognized at the 2022 event include Donna Elliff, Deb Potter, Jake Powers, and Kevin Rutland. Jennie Edmundson Foundation will also recognize and honor all of the past recipients as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of Spirit of Courage Celebrity Weekend.
A major event of the weekend is the Spirit of Courage Golf Tournament on August 6 at Dodge Riverside Golf Club beginning at 8 a.m. On Saturday evening, the gala begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction. Dinner and opening remarks will begin at 7 p.m. followed by Spirit of Courage Recipient presentations. The net proceeds from the weekend will go to the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Spirit of Courage Cancer Charitable Patient Care Fund through the Jennie Edmundson Foundation. These funds go towards helping cancer patients who face financial challenges in meeting their needs as they progress through their treatment. Thanks to the generous support of donors, this fund assists patients by paying for medications, treatments, and deductibles as well as everyday living expenses such as groceries, rent, and gas.
