Heartland Hope Mission to Now Serve the Valley Community

Heartland Hope Mission is excited for a new opportunity to help low-income families who live in Valley, NE with food pantries. In Valley, one out of every seven individuals lives in poverty. For children under the age of six living in poverty, the rate is over 37%. Inflation has also increased the need for hunger assistance programs. Heartland Hope Mission’s Valley mobile pantry will operate every fourth Friday of the month from 3 – 4 p.m. to help families in need.

You can help families living in Valley by volunteering to help distribute food at the mobile pantry or by giving a donation. $124 will help feed a family of four for a month. For more information about volunteering or donating, please visit their website at HeartlandHopeMission.org.

Heartland Hope Mission operates one of the largest food pantries in the state, but they are More Than a Pantry since they help families work toward self-sufficiency. They primarily serve working poor families and those facing a crisis by providing a week’s supply of food, as well as clothing, diapers, job resources, and community referrals.
