A veteran anesthesiologist at Bergan Mercy Medical Center with more than 30 years of service in Omaha is opening a new American Family Care urgent care franchise.
Dr. Larry Hald and his wife Cindy, a longtime medical office administrator, are passionate about providing quality, affordable and accessible health care to the people of Omaha. American Family Care (AFC) is a national urgent care franchise and the nation’s leading provider of urgent and primary care with 150 clinics nationwide.
Dr. Hald will serve as the new facility’s medical director and Cindy will run day-to-day operations. Two other board certified physicians will be among the staff. The Halds say unlike other urgent care facilities in Omaha, a physician will be on duty, treating patients, seven days a week, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. “I know it’s a tall order,” says Dr. Hald. “We are going to make sure our patients are not sitting around for hours. They will receive quality care from highly qualified and compassionate doctors.”
The new AFC location in Omaha is designed, equipped, and staffed to provide accessible primary care, urgent care and minor emergency treatment. It features a high-tech approach, including digital x-rays, on-site lab testing, state of the art diagnostics, and electronic medical records.
