Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Held for Makovicka Physical Therapy’s Newest Clinic

Makovicka Physical Therapy (makovickapt.com) recently opened their newest clinic in Omaha off of 119th and Pacific St. To celebrate, a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony conducted by the Greater Omaha Chamber was held on January 16. This was a chance for the community to hear from the owners and meet the staff. This new location marks the 17th outpatient physical therapy clinic between Omaha, Lincoln, and the surrounding areas that Makovicka Physical Therapy has opened since the first clinic was established in 2009.

Joel Makovicka is the president of Makovicka Physical Therapy. He returned to his Nebraska roots after retiring from the NFL and began his education in the field of physical therapy. The three-time national championship winner and All American for the Nebraska Cornhuskers decided he wanted to open a physical therapy practice of his own once he completed his training. During his time at Creighton University, Joel met Natalie Harms. Joel and Natalie created a partnership and together, they formed Makovicka/Harms Group. They are proud of the outstanding growth the practice has had and all the talented staff they’ve brought onto the team.
