CountryHouse, located at 5030 S. 155th Street, recently hosted an open house celebration on January 11 and 12 in honor of their new Memory Care residence.  New to the Millard neighborhood, CountryHouse Residence is an assisted living community that specializes in caring for those with Alzheimer’s and other memory loss conditions. Like the CountryHouses located in Lincoln and Grand Island, it was designed by dementia-care experts to look and feel like a family home. The residence offers a choice of 32 private and companion bedrooms along with Hearthside, an area dedicated to accommodate end-stage residents and their families. Other features include beautiful living and dining rooms, secured entries, and a courtyard with strolling paths and gardens.  Residents will be provided with daily meals, health care, personal services and transportation.

Nurses and 24-hour-staff have been carefully chosen and trained to care for those with memory loss. In addition, Day Away services and a caregiver support group are available to those who are still caring for a loved one at home. CountryHouse’s signature LifeCycles wellness program provides gentle direction and stimulation through daily routines, group and one-on-one activities, sensory engagement, spiritual activities, reminiscing and field trips.
