Get Involved in the Community by Donating Your Time to Heartland Hope Mission

If you’ve been looking for ways to become more involved in your community, Heartland Hope Mission (heartlandhopemission.org) has several opportunities available that do not cost anything more than your time. They have volunteer opportunities open at either of their food pantries, and they encourage community members to help them restock their shelves by hosting a food drive. If time is not in your budget, monetary donations are always incredibly appreciated. Just $124 can feed a family of four for a month.

Heartland Hope Mission operates one of the largest food pantries in the state, but they are More Than a Pantry because they help families work toward self-sufficiency. They primarily serve working poor families and those facing a crisis by providing a week’s supply of food, as well as clothing, diapers, job resources, and community referrals. Heartland Hope Mission offers outreach services by delivering pantries to senior citizens who are immobile as well as providing drive-thru and mobile pantries throughout rural Nebraska. Heartland Hope Mission also offers holiday assistance which includes Thanksgiving pantries and Christmas presents to children of families in need through their Hope-Filled Christmas program.
