The Business Ethics Alliance (BusinessEthicsAlliance.org) hosted their 2023 Annual Meeting luncheon on November 16 at Charles Schwab Field. 85 attendees networked beforehand and heard Dr. AnnMarie Marlier – the Executive Director of the Business Ethics Alliance – share highlights from the past year’s programming, and future directions for the year ahead. Don Eckles, Co-Founder of Scooter’s Coffee and Harvest Roasting, provided a keynote presentation that told the story of how Scooter’s Coffee relied on its core values to weather fast growth and difficult times. Finally, a video showing highlights of the past 15 years of the Alliance was presented as part of the year-long 15th anniversary celebration.

Dr. Marlier emphasized the importance of the community in helping spread the message that “Ethics Still Matter” to other organizations. Alliance Trustee Partners are the key to those efforts and helping increase engagement with the Alliance to continue providing “positive, practical business education” for organizations and the community. The Alliance will continue to host their well-known Signature Event breakfasts and luncheons in 2024 as well as adding additional programming to the line-up of events.

The Business Ethics Alliance was founded in 2008 by Dr. Beverly Kracher in partnership with Creighton Unniversity, the Better Business Bureau of the MIdwest Plains and the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce as well as the Omaha business community.
