E & A Consulting Group, Inc. is pleased to announce they were involved in the Olympic Swim Trials construction project at the CenturyLink Center.  Myrtha Pools of Sarasota, Florida constructed a five-lane stainless steel warm-up pool and a ten-lane competition pool in just ten days.  They began the pool construction over the bare concrete floor early in the morning on May 23rd after the Nickelback concert.  E & A was hired by Myrtha Pools to survey the layout of the pools.  Myrtha began filling the pools with water on June 1st and E&A checked the dimension between pads once the pools were filled with water by an Omaha Fire Department aerial pumper truck.  Plans allow for five millimeters tolerance in the 50 meter pool length.  That’s one hundredth of a percent.  The distance between electronically actuated pads can be no less than 50.000 meters but no more than 50.005 meters.  The pools were open for Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational beginning June 8th. Olympic team trials swimming competition began June 25th.  E&A surveyors certified the dimension of each lane for the Omaha Sports Commission.
