Annual Pinnacle Bank Championship Gives Back to the Community

This year’s Pinnacle Bank (pinnbank.com) Championship presented by Aetna was played August 12 through 15 at The Club at Indian Creek in Elkhorn. The Championship is a part of the Korn Ferry Tour, a developmental tour for the PGA TOUR that features professional golfers who have either not yet reached the PGA TOUR, or who have done so but could not maintain enough points to stay at that level. The event was the Tour’s Regular-Season Finale and featured a purse of $750,000. It was also where the top 25 players in the Tour receive their PGA TOUR cards.

The Championship is a nonprofit event that supports Nebraska businesses and nonprofits. This year, all money raised went to Children’s Hospital & Medical Center Foundation in Omaha. This could not be possible without the many volunteers that offer their time and effort to help put on the event! In addition to the volunteers, 160 community partners have also contributed to the Championship, from cash sponsorships to trade partnerships. Since the event’s start in 2017, it has raised over $357,000 for local organizations.
