American National Bank Presenting Sponsor for 6th Annual Omaha Gives! 24-Hour Event

American National Bank is proud to once again serve as Presenting Sponsor for the 6th annual Omaha Gives! (www.OmahaGives.org) charitable challenge. Over 1,000 community nonprofits will participate in this year’s celebration on May 23, the largest participation to date. The 24-hour event, hosted by the Omaha Community Foundation, is the metro area’s only official day of giving. The entire community is invited to celebrate, and give back, at www.OmahaGives.org.

Since its inception in 2013, American National Bank has been committed to supporting Omaha Gives!  The giving day has raised more than $35 million from 200,000 donations for nonprofit organizations throughout Douglas, Sarpy, and Pottawattamie Counties. A total 52,886 donations, a new record, were given during the 2017 campaign. This event reinforces the fact that giving together makes a difference.

“People prefer to work for and do business with companies that support nonprofit organizations. American National Bank has built a legacy of commitment to charitable giving and employee volunteerism. It is important that we all work together to help transform our communities and improve the quality of lives where it makes the greatest impact,” said Wende Kotouc, executive co-chairman.

The minimum donation starts at $10—an amount that encourages anyone to participate in the giving day, and for donors to be able to spread their gifts across organizations. American National Bank challenges all of its employees to participate by matching employee donations to their favorite charities and offering Jeans Days (for a donation) with the dollars raised going to a local nonprofit.
