Tell us a little about your business. – Edgewater Construction (edgewaterconstruct.com) is a company dedicated to quality craftsmanship and exceptional service. I specialize in everything from small home renovations to large-scale commercial projects.

How did you get started in the business? – I have been in construction for over six years and have worked on hundreds of projects in differing styles. I decided I wanted to begin my own company where I can put my expertise, attention to detail and care into every project.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – My biggest adversary right now is getting my name out there and letting people know what Edgewater Construction is all about.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – I would have to say taking the jump and starting Edgewater Construction and having consistently satisfied and happy customers.

Tell us a little about your family. – My parents and sister live in Minnesota but regardless of the distance, I am very close to them and they mean the most to me.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – If I get a day off, which is a BIG if, my favorite thing to do is go golfing.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – Many people don’t know this but I was actually adopted from Chelyabinsk, Russia.

Who inspires you? – The author Jordan B. Peterson inspires me.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get.” – Forest Gump. Life is up and down consistently; you can’t predict it, only try to make the best of it.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Enthusiastic or passionate.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – Mind reading.

Which talent would you most like to have? – Singing.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – I think I would enjoy working in pediatrics.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – The Hub Lincoln. They provide support and resources for young people growing into adults in our community. I am on the board of directors and am passionate about the work they do.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – Last good book I read was Beyond Order by Jordan B. Peterson.

What is your favorite movie? – Forest Gump for sure!

What is your favorite TV show? – Suits or Letterkenny.

What is your favorite local Lincoln restaurant? – The Venue, they have the best lobster rolls in Lincoln!
