Meet Crystal McIntyre, Owner of Resolve Medical Billing (www.resolvebilling.com).

Tell us a little about your business. – At Resolve Medical Billing, we assist providers with the initial setup of their practice and credentialing. Then we assist providers with their billing. We focus on the accounts receivables while they focus on their patients’ treatment.

How did you get started in the business? – I have worked in the medical billing world for 10 years, and worked in the medical field for 18 years.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Being a new business owner and learning new things, but also not getting all of my questions answered because of not knowing where to even get my questions answered.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Seeing how much my business has helped many providers throughout the four years of business.

Tell us a little about your family. – Since the growth of the business, my husband has been fortunate to come work with me at Resolve Medical Billing. When my husband and I are not working we love to BBQ, play online games and hangout with our dogs Herbie, Harley and Jude.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – When I started my business. I didn’t know if I could accomplish such a thing. The imposter syndrome is strong.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – On my day off, I enjoy crocheting. I make stuffed animals and dolls. I also play online games.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – That I crochet and I’m actually really good at it.

Who inspires you? – People who can survive toxic or unhealthy situations and become unstoppable forces. Seeing people succeed really gives me additional energy.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Only come to a problem with a solution. Don’t feed the problem more problems.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Crocheting or podcasting. I would like to podcast about my life experiences and talk to people about how they got through difficult times in their lives.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – Animal rescues and foster/adoption charities.

What is your favorite movie? Sister Act 2 or Hocus Pocus.

What is your favorite local Omaha restaurant? – My husband and I love Lina’s Mexican Restaurant.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Mark Cuban for business. For life experiences, any of my ancestors.
