How did you get started in the business? – My husband and I enjoy being together, and we both enjoy helping people and serving those who need us and want help from us. We thought opening our own practice would be the perfect opportunity to do just that! We believe God has placed us in this position and we are elated to serve our patients.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Being in the service industry, I want to help every single person that comes through our door because that’s why I get out of bed in the morning. However, I’ve come to find that can be exhaustive and unhealthy. So my focus is to be the best at what I do in connecting with people and providing resources to help them along with solutions and answers. Then they have to choose to move forward with that information.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Opening my own office and the work I have done in the community to assist non-profit dental practices.

Tell us a little about your family. – I am originally from Honolulu, HI. My parents and brother still live there. My husband Galen and I have two sons, Keoni and Schuyler. We love to travel, by plane, train, and automobile–big boats are fun too!

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Sleep in! Spontaneous travel is at the top of the list too.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I am a direct descendent of King Kamahamaha of Honolulu. Hawaii has the last standing Kingdom Palace in all of the United States.

What are you the most proud of? – My family. I was raised with the importance of family, and my husband and I value family, so the family girl in me remains!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – From Dr. Martin L. Williams: “Find your purpose and your passion!”

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Loving.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – The power to heal everyone.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – It’s cooking without a doubt. You never know, I might open a food truck or something. Hawaiian style baby!

What local non-profit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – Ambassadors Worship Center, I absolutely believe in their vision.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – All Marriages Are Not Created Equal by Drs. Martin and Lynnell Williams.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – Canton House Restaurant, best Chinese in the city! Very authentic!
