Tell us a little about your business in your own words. – MIC (micimagingcenter.com) is an imaging center operated by Radiology Consultants (radiologyconsultants.com), a local physician-owned group of specialized radiologists. We are all board-certified and hold advanced certifications, which enable us to provide the highest quality care to our patients. MIC opened at a new location at 119th and Center in September of 2024. The imaging center features state-of-the-art equipment, helping us deliver the most accurate diagnoses. It is also equipped to perform outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures. Our diagnostic imaging services include CT, MRI, ultrasound, vascular ultrasound, DEXA, X-ray, and mammography. Our interventional physicians can handle a wide range of cases including routine drainage procedures, biopsies, dialysis access, venous access, DVT management, treatment of plantar fasciitis, and pain management. We also treat more complex cases, such as varicose vein treatment, Uterine Artery Embolization, arterial and venous insufficiency, and pelvic congestion syndrome.

How did you get started in the business? – I have been practicing radiology for 30 years. The imaging center has significantly expanded our business in Omaha.

Tell us a little about your family. – I’ve been married to my wife, Sarah, for almost 35 years. We are true partners and have raised two wonderful children, a daughter and a son, who are both physicians. We have two grandchildren and more on the way. We also have two large Akitas who take us on daily walks.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I enjoy cooking, gardening, running, and biking. I spend most of my free time with my family and my two large dogs.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I love gardening and cooking. I have dozens of fruit trees and grow various types of berries, as well as a large vegetable garden. I’m also a bit of a vinophile. I enjoy learning about vintages, varieties and sharing wines, and home-grown food with friends and family.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – My wife teases me that my theme song is “Vacation” by Dirty Heads because the chorus says, “I’m on vacation every single day because I love my occupation”. She knows me well.

What is your favorite movie? – Fletch. I enjoy satire, sarcasm, and a good laugh.

What is your favorite local Omaha restaurant? – Le Voltaire has been my favorite for years. The food is excellent, and I love the intimate, approachable atmosphere.
