Due to continued growth in the Omaha market The Weitz Company recently named Brian Mahlendorf Project Executive and Victor Baez Preconstruction Manager.
Prior to his promotion, Mahlendorf, a 14-year veteran of Weitz, served as the Senior Project Manager for the company’s Nebraska office. In his new role, Mahlendorf will take on additional leadership and operational responsibilities in Nebraska. Mahlendorf will continue his relationships and customer focus with organizations such as University of Nebraska Omaha, CBRE and their Southport Development, and Vetter Health Services among others.
Baez has more than 18 years of experience in construction, and has worked for Weitz for 16 years. Baez will assume the role of Preconstruction Manager for the company’s Senior Living customers. Baez’s past projects have included a number of Senior Living developments and he is currently managing construction of the Hillcrest Grand Lodge. Other Senior Living projects Baez has worked on include: Immanuel Trinity Village in Papillion, Hillcrest Country Estates Skilled Nursing Facility, Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice, Immanuel Lakeside Village and Tabitha Green houses in Lincoln. A graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln, Baez has a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.
