Susie Nelson Joins Angels Among Us as New Executive Director

Susie Nelson has joined Angels Among Us (myangelsamongus.org) as Executive Director.  Nelson brings over 26 years of fundraising experience to Angels Among Us after serving in various non-profit organizations in Omaha and surrounding areas.  Her experience includes grant writing, fundraising, strategic planning, events management and marketing.  Susie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hastings College in Business Administration/Communications and serves on the boards of the Claire Hubbard Foundation, The Foodbank for the Heartland and St. Augustine Indian Mission School.  She joined the organization after a strategic planning process identified a need to grow in many key areas – fundraising, marketing, and strategic direction for Angels Among Us.

Angels Among Us is a non-profit organization whose mission is to financially assist families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis.  In its ten years in operation, over 265 families have been helped with over $1 million in financial support.
