Stephen Center of Omaha (stephencenter.org) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Knauf as its new Chief Executive Officer. Knauf brings over two decades of experience in both legal and nonprofit sectors, with a proven track record in leadership, development, and community engagement.

Knauf is a graduate of Creighton University School of Law and holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Most recently, he served as Director of Advancement at Mount Michael Benedictine Abbey & School, where he led advancement and fundraising efforts and contributed to long-term strategic planning.

Previously, Knauf was the Chief Development Officer at The Siena Francis House, where he revitalized fundraising and development strategies, significantly enhancing the organization’s financial sustainability and community impact. His efforts were crucial in securing funding for Nebraska’s largest emergency shelter program.

Knauf also made significant contributions at The Steier Group, managing capital campaigns nationwide and raising millions for various projects. His legal experience includes serving as a Staff Attorney at Iowa Legal Aid, providing vital assistance to low-income clients in family law and landlord-tenant disputes.

Chris Knauf’s appointment as CEO represents a strategic step forward for the Stephen Center. His expertise in development, culture building, strategic planning, and community relations aligns perfectly with the Center’s mission to support those in need.
