Hannah Mirmiran, Board Chair of Omaha Creative Institute (OCI), has announced the appointment of Emily Moody as Executive Director, Omaha Creative Institute. “OCI’s Executive Committee of the Board conducted a thorough search over the last four months and was fortunate to identify a number of qualified candidates,” according to Mirmiran. “Emily Moody personifies OCI’s vibrant and committed vision to strengthen our creative community and to broaden the audience for the arts.”

Emily has been Board President of both Friends of Planned Parenthood of the Heartland and Project Interfaith and is a current board member of Inclusive Communities.  She has both a B.S. and an M.S. from University of South Dakota and has been a healthcare professional for over 15 years.  Moody is married to husband Craig and has two daughters, Lydia and Janie.

Susan Thomas, founding Executive Director of OCI, will be passing the torch after seven years of increasing attention for and success with programs including Artist INC, first offered in 2014 and “Play Me, I’m Yours,” winner of Best Public Art in the 2013 Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards.
