NAM Welcomes Five New Board Members

Five leaders in Omaha’s business and nonprofit communities have been elected to the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (www.nonprofitam.org) board.

At NAM’s annual meeting on Tuesday, May 3, Wendy Boyer, Ralph Kellogg, Susan Ogborn, Kerri Peterson, and Emiliano Lerda were elected to the Board of Directors.

Wendy Boyer is a senior program officer at the Peter Kiewit Foundation, leading the “Youth Pathways to Success” and “Economic Growth and Opportunity” initiatives. She brings to the NAM board significant experience in education, workforce development, and economic development.

Ralph Kellogg is vice president of Human Resources and Corporate Training at Centris Federal Credit Union. His background includes strategic planning, training, corporate communications, and human resources.

Susan Ogborn is president and CEO of the Food Bank for the Heartland. This year, the Food Bank will distribute more than 16 million pounds of food in 93 Nebraska and Western Iowa counties.

Also joining the NAM board is Kerri Peterson of the Sherwood Foundation. Peterson joined the Sherwood Foundation four years ago and is grant manager for initiatives focusing on teen health, neighborhood safety, and juvenile justice.

Emiliano Lerda is executive director of Justice for Our Neighbors-Nebraska and an adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, teaching Immigration, Law, & Latinos.
