Nebraska Community Foundation (www.NebraskaHometown.org) is pleased to announce the promotion of Karl Shaddock to new community development staff leadership position.

Karl Shaddock has been promoted from affiliated fund coordinator to Assistant Director of Community Development Philanthropy. Shaddock helps Nebraska communities use philanthropy and asset-based approaches to tools for rural community development. Shaddock oversees a number of affiliated fund development strategies including design of NCF’s annual training event, peer mentoring and enhancing grantmaking and community impact. He also serves as the primary contact and resource staff member for a number of affiliated funds.

Shaddock has extensive experience in establishing community development programs. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in political science, and he has earned certificates in community-based development from Colorado State University and from Tata Institute of Social Service, Mumbai, India.
