CPA firm McFarlin & Brokke, PC has promoted Michael J. Smith II to partner/shareholder.  Smith, who joined the firm in 2009 as a senior accountant, most recently was manager.  In his new role, he will have expanded leadership responsibilities and will continue to be responsible for all areas of client satisfaction and staff mentoring.  Smith, an Omaha native, is a graduate of Skutt Catholic High School and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  He holds a master’s degree in professional accountancy and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Nebraska Society of CPAs.
