Inclusive Communities Promotes Camellia “Cammy” Watkins to Deputy Director

Inclusive Communities’ (www.inclusive-communities.org) Executive Director Maggie Wood recently announced the promotion of Camellia “Cammy” Watkins to the newly created position of deputy director of the organization. Cammy joined the non-profit as the operations and business development manager in 2016. In her new role, Cammy’s responsibilities include management of all aspects of the daily operations and an increased role in fundraising.

“Since joining Inclusive Communities, Cammy’s efforts to further our business development work have resulted in entirely new opportunities for our mission to have an impact on organizational effectiveness and the quality of work-life experienced by employees in Nebraska,” said Wood.

Cammy Watkins is an Omaha native who graduated from Omaha South High School. She received a BA degree from Cornell College in psychology and vocal performance. Cammy has 15 years experience working with not-for-profit organizations, ranging from environmental activism to performing arts administration. The opportunity to work with many different facets of the not-for-profit world has provided Cammy with vast insights into the business needs of organizations. She is excited to utilize this expertise to partner with Omaha businesses as they begin the journey of creating an inclusive office culture.
