Hillside Solutions Locks In New Sustainability Consultant Samantha Nieman

Hillside Solutions (www.hillside.solutions) hires Samantha Nieman as a sustainability consultant to provide expert advice to become more socially and environmentally responsible for commercial businesses, like schools, restaurants, and offices.

Nieman recently finished her term as a sustainability director in the Americorp, where she helped educate the public, media, and elected officials about important conservation issues. Additionally, she mobilized a diverse network of people to engage in public policy while empowering Nebraskans to protect their natural resources through locally-led community organizing.

While serving, Nieman spent a reasonable amount of time on projects intertwined with Hillside Solution, significantly to help advocate for their Compost Club memberships. It’s a program where you can collect your compostables at home, drop them off at one of their many sites, and let Hillside do the work of breaking them down. Ideal for those looking to compost food waste, non-recycled paper, bioplastics, and other compostable take-out packaging. With a passion for the program, love for advocating for the environment, and networking, it was a “no brainer” to hire Nieman as a sustainability consultant.
