Gayla Martin, Account Executive for UNICO Group in Lincoln, recently received the Certified Insurance Industry Professional (CIIP) designation. Attainment of the CIIP designation offers tangible evidence of high professional standards, a commitment to continuing education and awareness of insurance industry issues, according to the International Association of Insurance Professionals, the organization that awards the designation. In order to achieve the designation, each designee must be employed in the insurance or risk management industries and submit proof of completion of two education requirements, one of which is an association program and the other which is an industry-related program offered by approved industry sponsored associations.
The International Association of Insurance Professionals was officially organized in 1940 and is an association of insurance professionals dedicated to the development of leaders in the insurance industry. The national organization has over 250 local associations throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, and is best known for providing insurance education, skills enhancement, and leadership development to its members.
Gayla has been in the insurance industry since 2000. She works as a Commercial Insurance Executive for businesses in Nebraska. She also has the CISR and CWCS designations. Gayla is currently president of the local International Association of Insurance Professionals chapter.
