Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture Announces Leadership Changes, New Personnel and Projects

Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture (APMA) recently announced changes in leadership designed to support the firm’s rapid growth over the past year. Founding Principal, Perry Poyner has stepped down from the leadership responsibilities he has provided over the past 28 years of the now 50-person architecture, interior design and planning firm’s history. Although semi-retired, Perry will continue to work on special projects and offer his knowledge and experience as a valuable resource to the firm.

The firm has announced the recognition of the next generation of leadership by welcoming a new group of shareholders. The new APMA shareholder class includes: Laura Alley, Business Development and Marketing; Dan Dolezal, Architecture; Martin Kluck, Architecture; Nancy Novak, Interior Design; Daric O’Neal, Architecture; Jay Palu, Architecture; Stuart Poyner, Construction Administration; Katrina Stoffel, Interior Design; Erin Trofholz, Interior Design; Eric Westman, Architect.

In addition to the new shareholders, the firm has welcomed eight new employees in 2015. New team members include: Adam Andrews, Architecture; Joe Eisma, Architecture; Monica Erickson, Architecture; Jaime Lewis, Interior Design; Todd Moeller, Architecture; Seraphim Carlson Mullins, Human Resources and Administration; Brenda Nelson, Architecture; Denise Powell, Marketing and Business Development; Maureen Strahl, Finance and Administration.

These new hires join at a pivotal point in the studio’s trajectory. Over the past year the firm has undertaken an array of major projects, including Dial’s Aksarben Senior Living Center, the University of Nebraska University Health Center / UNMC College of Nursing and the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, The Highlander at 75 North, Blackstone District Apartments, Countryside Community Church (part of the Tri-Faith Initiative) and the new Security National Bank Building on Farnam Street, among others. The firm has recently won projects as diverse as the new library and cultural arts center in Columbus, NE, the conversion of the historic OPPD Power Plant to an urban residential development on the Missouri Riverfront, and the design of a mixed-use building on 13th and Cass Street in downtown Omaha.
