The annual Stuff a Truck event is back and will take place at all local Hy-Vee stores from October 9–12. Organized by Heartland Hope Mission (heartlandhopemission.org), this vital event helps gather turkeys and Thanksgiving meal essentials for families in need across our community.
With pantry demand up 12% this year, the need for community support is greater than ever. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for a 2.5-hour shift at the Hy-Vee location of their choice. Evening and weekend shifts are available, making it easy for individuals, families, and groups to participate.
This family-friendly event is open to kids of all ages, who are welcome to serve alongside parents or grandparents. Volunteers often describe Stuff a Truck as a fun and meaningful experience they look forward to year after year.
