As temperatures rise, individuals living on the streets face heightened risks from dehydration, sunburn, and insect exposure. Stephen Center’s (stephencenter.org) Street Outreach program is seeking community support by collecting bottled water, sunscreen, and bug spray to help those experiencing homelessness stay safe and healthy throughout the summer months.
Donations can be conveniently dropped off at the South Side Donation Dock at 2723 Q Street. Community participation ensures essential summer supplies reach those who need them most.
Donation collection is ongoing for the summer months. The Donation Center is open Tuesday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday–Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed on Mondays.
